Quiet

A poem

By

Accipiter G. Goshawk

Silence

Revel in immobility,

A blind void behind your eyes

Filled with –

Forgot the screens,

The messages.

The news:

Eternal heralds,

Chaos choir;

Screaming gulls of information

Lifeless,

Folded paper, blown on the gale storm.

Just be silent,

Feel the quiet,

Look around you

And breathe.

Feel the earth,

The wind,

The heat, the cold;

Pain and pleasure.

Cast aside the labyrinth

For the shore and the sea.

Forget dust, death, doom and despair.

Feel.

Live.

Breathe,

Breathe.
